New Flex project using Mate Framework

Work has been started on an exciting new project that will use the Mate framework for Flex (for the first time). I can’t disclose too much information about the project at this time, but you will be hearing more in a few months or so.

The Mate framework was choosen over other popular frameworks like Cairngorm and PureMVC because it looks promising and I figured it definitely deserved a testrun in a somewhat bigger project.

Want to know more about Mate? Mate is defined as “a tag-based event-driven framework”. The best way to find out what they mean by that is to visit the Mate framework website - amongst several Mate examples, documentation and a forum there’s an informative video of a presentation that was given at the recent 360|Flex event. It lasts about an hour but I sat through it and in fact it’s that presentation that convinced me to try Mate in a real-life project…
